The quiz gets you started. A good conversation gets you sure.
Most school decisions come down to trade-offs you can't see on a tour. These sessions are for seeing them first, from someone who isn't selling you a school.
School Fit Clarity
Two 60-minute video sessions, plus a written decision guide
Get an independent read before you commit your child's next school year.
Two one-on-one Socratic sessions about the decision in front of you, whether you're choosing a first alternative school, thinking about leaving your current one, or already enrolled and unsure. Not a sales pitch for any school, and "stay where you are" is a real possible answer.
- Session 1: What you believe school is for, what your child needs right now, and where your answers pull in different directions
- Session 2: The trade-offs of the specific schools or models you're weighing, including what families often don't see until they're in it
- A short written decision guide: what fits, what to watch for, and the questions to ask each school
Founder Readiness Assessment
Three 60-minute video sessions, plus a readiness scorecard
Find out whether you should start a school, and which one, before you commit.
Accelerators help you launch. This helps you decide. Three independent, Socratic sessions that test your reasons, your model, and your readiness before you spend the next three years and tens of thousands of dollars. You'll leave with a clear go, pause, or reconsider recommendation.
- Session 1: Your convictions: what you believe about kids, learning, and the purpose of school, and why you want to do this
- Session 2: Model fit: your leading model compared with real alternatives (including not starting a school) for the families you want to serve
- Session 3: Readiness: money, time, family obligations, and the parts of the job founders underestimate, like recruiting families and hard parent conversations
- A written readiness scorecard with a go, pause, or reconsider recommendation and next steps
What "Socratic" means here
Ben won't tell you which school to pick. Instead you'll get the questions that help you figure out what you actually believe, and the choice you're leaning toward gets tested against it. Most people find the answer was already in them; it just needed the right questions.
How it works
- Fill out a short form about what you're deciding.
- Ben reads it (and your quiz results, if you took it) before you meet.
- You pick a time and meet by video.
